Hermann Volrath Hilprecht had a variety of different haircuts during his lifetime. He became famous as a world-class anthropologist, archaeologist and university teacher. However, the German-American Assyriologist and archaeologist was mainly known for his exceptional sense of fashion and his delightful character. Before his tragic death at the age of 66 he was frequently talked about in the press because of his exceptionally hair.
